Factors Leading to Divorce in Pakistan

Reason of writing some content on this sensitive topic is due to the recent stories, incidents I witnessed in past 2 years. I saw many of my friends, collogues, university juniors and people from my network had a bad luck in their marriages, ( there are many happy living couples Alhamdulillah aswell). But when you experience some thing disturbing that becomes a road block in your own way.

So for us Marriage is a bond that provides two people a place to nurture and grow as a person by supporting each other in all the predicaments that they face and having each other’s back no matter how rough the situation gets. It provides a shelter where two people can cater to each other’s physical and psychological needs and make the other person feel protective and loved by licking each other’s wounds. If any of these factors go missing, the marriage could suffer. Marriage is a legal bond that brings equal responsibility on partners towards each other and divorce is the legal termination of this responsibility officially.

I was reading an article published in hrpub.org  and what i found was really thought provoking. Although as per my view the number  respondents for such research was not much  and that was 300 only. But based on research they concluded 25 distinct reasons that are leading towards divorce.

The article tells us that major cause of the divorce is illiteracy among the masses of Pakistan. From where we are getting education about marriage life ? Any specific course? Any Specific guidance from parents? Or from the Main source of our Live QURAN? The answer is a BIG NO. we take such education from a devil source that is Media, Dramas, where we are taught the ways to dominate, to compare, to manipulate other people homes by wicked techniques. we are being taught that we have to make sure that people we dont like due to any reason, should not remain happy, they must suffer and have an unhappy life. we are being taught by such entertainment channels that how we can become an evil and can destroy a happy living couple. we have never consulted our main source of learning and that is Quran.

2nd  and 3rd big reason that came was misunderstandings and financial problems.  Today in this cruel world we have started comparing our lives on social media, we are judging people and comparing ourselves based on the financial sources, every 2nd couple is complaining to their partners about what they dont have and what their friends have. such comparison based fights are developing the misunderstanding among each other. We must believe in almighty that Allah has promised that every one will have Rizq , one have to be patient and a hardworker and Almighty will make sure to feed him. Islam Teaches us the Lesson of moderation and we forget that and we just start making things more difficult by trying to get more and more and making the things necessity of lives that are not actually the necessities.

By end rest of the points mentioned are really thought provoking , where our youth is going? Having no baby is not a reason to divorce a girl or not a reason to take divorce from a boy, that is a blessing that Almighty will bless when he thinks is the right time. Panics, depression, fear, feeling of helplessness are part of our lives, if we dont have them, we will never remember our creator.  these are the challenges that we have to face and conquer.

Concluding the discussion, we are getting really away from our actually meaning of life and we are making our lives miserable. Specially when having a child and going towards a divorce for some new Guy/Girl is one of the cruel thing we do. we spoil the life of that child ust for our own pleasure and comfort. We must make the lessons of islam a part of our lives, and pray to almighty to keep us on right track and pray that he take us to Sirat ul mustakeem.
